GORE Bike Wear Alp-X 2.0 Glove
As you may or may not know, I am already a fan of products by GORE Bike Wear. But when they came out with some of their new product for the 2013 season, I became a huge fan. One of my favorite additions to the product line is the Alp-X 2.0 SO Light Glove. Full finger glove with only the tiniest of well placed gel padding on the palm, reinforced in all the right spots, snot/sweat wipey thingy and a wonderful layer of Windstopper across the top.
I have been wearing these gloves for the last month now, and have no complaints with them at all. I stopped to take some sweet pictures of it for this blog, and while doing so, the wind came and blew the other feller off the bridge and into the scrap yard below.
And, there goes my glove.
Doh!
If it was most any other glove, I would had left it’s ass down there, but this was my new GORE Bike Wear Alp-X 2.0 SO Light Glove that I paid for! No freebie from GORE for doing these reviews, my own money, and I shall get it back.
After deciding it was not a good idea to scale the wall down and try and climb back up, I rode around the the scale office, and after a few questions about how my glove ended up down there, and what a blog was, the yard supervisor was kind enough to escort me to retrieve my buddy.
It was cool to see the big ol’ scrap loader picking up and dumping giant metal mouth fulls vigorously into container waiting to transfer its load to another facility for recycling. Like Discovery in IRL.
Any who, I got my glove, hopped back up on my bike, and headed into work.
If you ride when it is cool, race cross, or are looking for a bad ass glove to keep your fingys warm in the cooler temps, this is the one.
