I am usually more of technical fabric wearing fella. Love me some Gore-Tex and Windstopper, but it turns out, I also love me some Merino wool too. The Mission Workshop Bosun is an great jacket. Not only does it perform well on bike, it also looks good doing it. And when two wheels are not under you, it does not look like a bike specific piece, so neither do you. (Except your bag, shoes, and helmet may still give you away.) The Mission Workshop Bosun has two stow pockets, one on the back left and one inside breast right. Add a couple reinforced patches on the shoulders and elbows and you have yourself a pretty sweet jacket. This jacket is not windproof, but it does a fine job of keeping me warm with a base layer, or a thermal layer for the colder days. The jacket is in stock at Village Cycle Center and if you don’t feel like coming down to the store, there is $5 flat rate shipping available now.
